Congratulations to Alex Sherman, Chairman of the Springfield Republican City Committee (SRCC) and the City Committee for their victory against candidate censorship in Springfield.
It seems that the 16 Acres Civic Association decided to have a "Candidates Night" but did not invite Republican candidates, all of whom have Democrat opponents (mostly incumbents).
Alex contacted members of the SRCC and other activists in Greater Springfield to hold a rally Tuesday night at the sight of the Candidates Night to voice their opposition and call for inclusion of the GOP candidates.
Today, Alex received word that the organizer of the event (after he learned of the massive protest planned and the media coverage that was coming I imagine) would allow GOP candidates to be included in the Candidates Night. Wow! Amazing how Democrats stifle free speech. And I thought they were inclusionists. I guess they are except when it comes to Republicans.
What a great victory for Alex in his effort to rebuild the SRCC and for all of the SRCC members and their friends. They triumphed over despicable political games and liberal campaign dirty tricks.
