Political Wusses

I know there is very little honor among politicians, and it is even rarer to find those that stay true to their values (see Ronald Reagan).  But now we have a lower than low, low.

It's one thing, if you're a politician, to stuff bribe money in your bra, flash constituents, or play toe tapping in a men's room.  It's another thing when you sign up to run with a candidate as a Lt. Governor and bail out and endorse an opponent when the heat is on.

Rep. Paul Loscoco has pulled a real weasel move by dropping out of the Governors race and endorsing the very guy he criticized, Charlie Baker.  Cahill has lost two REPUBLICAN operatives and his REPUBLICAN Lt. Governor running mate in the last three weeks and still stays in the race.  At least he has the integrity to finish what he's started, good or bad.  A lesson that Mr. Loscoco should have learned growing up.

Why would Loscoco do this?  The Operatives have an excuse, they were in it for the money and the money alone.  Loscoco said Cahill was the best choice when he joined the ticket.  If Loscoco thought Baker was the better candidate, why did he defy the party and his join a "reformed" Democrat?

I'm sure that Charlie Baker will accept the endorsement of Loscoco, but he shouldn't.  Here's why - Loscoco's word is crap, period.  Why would Baker want to associate himself with a quitter?

What does Mr. Loscoco say to all those that donated money to him because they believed in Cahills campaign or took Loscoco's word that Cahill was better than Baker.

Let's all learn something from this - people like Paul Loscoco confirm the feelings of many that politicians are unethical and not trustworthy.

Just when you thought you saw it all.
