FINALLY!
We now have some excitement for grass roots Republicans for September 14th!
Keith Davis, a GREAT guy and a true GRASS ROOTS CONSERVATIVE, has bravely stepped up and placed his name in play as a write in for Lt. Governor. I say bravely because running a campaign is one thing, but running a sticker campaign is a balls to the wall ordeal. Plus, his opponent will be Richard Tisei, Charlie Baker's choice for Lt. Governor, but not the people's choice.
From the very moment Charlie Baker announced a running mate well before the convention, there were grumblings in the party about the choice. I'm sure Tisei is a good guy, but his social stances will make any solid Conservative cringe. At the Convention in Worcester, there were constant rumors pf a last minute entry to the ballot. But to no avail.
While Keith's battle may be an uphill fight, this campaign will cost the Baker/Tisei team in terms of time and energy to ward off any serious threat. If Davis can grab just a small percentage of the vote, it could expose weakness in the Baker/Tisei juggernaut come November. And this can get worse for Baker as the rumor mill persists that there will a write in challenger to Charlie!
Just when the RINO's thought it was safe to go into the primary, BAM!! The REAL GRASS ROOT Republicans are ready to shake things up a bit!!

Semper Fi!
